HYDREAU

Brand Concept, Standards Manual, Website, Annual Report

HYDREAU is a fictional bottled water brand. It's aim is to appeal to a younger audience through its bright color palette, clean design and empowering social message. My target audience was chosen based on research supporting that young people (18-34 years old), especially women, are more likely to purchase bottled water.

I developed the brand identity, including the logo, style guide and stationery system. I also designed a corporate website for the company, as well as an annual report.

The purpose of the website's homepage is to introduce the brand and entice people to learn more. The video animation created in After Effects demonstrates the how a user might scroll through the homepage.

The name stems from the idea that "hydropower" can apply to people too. The brand message teaches people that staying hydrated is a simple concept, but often overshadowed by the latest health fads. The "eau" in the name comes from the French word for water.

FAIR LEAF

Brand Identity, Standards Manual, Packaging, Photography

The FairLeaf rebrand came about during my internship at Ancient Wisdom Productions in Ithaca, NY. Along with my fellow interns, project manager Jenn Burgess (project manager) and Borno Zaman (web developer), we were tasked with creating a new visual identity for the not-for-profit organization. I designed a new logo and developed a style guide, product packaging, a website and social media overhaul, as well as promotional materials and photography.

Early on in the process, we created an extensive road map outlining goals for the project, target audience analysis and competition research.

FairLeaf aims to mitigate malnutrition and promote deforestation in Nicaragua by promoting the use of moringa. The organization sells tea and other products made with moringa to fund their social mission in Nicaragua. Learn more at FairLeaf.org.

PARTNERS IN LEARNING

Logo Design, Standards Manual

This year I got the chance to design a new logo for Partners in Learning, a non-profit organization in Syracuse, NY.

The goal of this logo was to maintain the organization's mission of promoting intergenerational learning among a variety of people and cultures. The chosen color palette and typography aim to create an inviting and friendly personality that will appeal to and attract its audience.

Along with the logo, I provided Partners in Learning with a standards manual for their new brand.

STARTUP INSIDER

Logotype Design, Icon Set

Startup Insider is a "commitment to action" and Clinton Global Initiative sponsored organization aiming to support global social entrepreneurship.

I designed a logotype with simple, yet strong typography to help jump start the organization's brand.

Along with color palette and secondary typography suggestions, I also provided a set of icons representing each of Startup Insider's primary actions. These icons are to be used in infographics as well as in social media assets.

HONEY'S TRUFFLES

Logo Concept, Packaging Concept

This logo concept is for a gourmet chocolate company in Syracuse, NY named Honey's Truffles.

The company is currently looking to expand business both locally and beyond Syracuse. My logo design uses a bold color palette that will appeal to a broader audience and allow the company to compete with a more corporate field of competition. The typography choices maintain the fun and feminine image that the company's owner, Helen Washington, aims to portray.

I also created mockups of possible packaging concepts. The packaging concept includes a simple and inexpensive label that can easily be used with the companies current packaging materials. This would allow for Honey's Truffles to make a quick transition to its new brand.

In order to to show additional uses of the logo and new color palette, I included an option for a business card design as well.
